Our annual Scarecrow Contest entry fee is $25 and includes your muslin head, stuffing straw and the loan of a wood frame. Proceeds support the Fall Festival and youth programs here at the VV Fairgrounds.
You may decorate your scarecrow onsite before the event or display it at your home or business during October and bring to the fairgrounds on Friday Oct. 25 or before 8:30am Saturday Oct. 26.
Scarecrow Contest Entries receive a 10x10 space (unfurnished, outside) to use as they wish. You can decorate your space or use it to advertise your business. You may give away promotional items, coupons, or set appointments. No sales of any item are allowed in the scarecrow space.
You are not expected to remain onsite during the event. If you plan to do so, we highly recommend that you bring a shade structure and seating as you will be outdoors.
For additional information and to register, please see the Scarecrow Contest Entry Form.
In order to guarantee your frame, please register by Friday, Sept. 27. Frames and other supplies will be available Monday, Oct. 7th.
Club & Non Profit Organizations:
Come Celebrate the Verde Valley Community.
Service Clubs, Non-Profits, Hobby Groups etc. receive a free 10 x 10 outdoor space for the day.
Use this space to share your mission, recruit new members and have fun with your group. All you need to do is provide some type of kid/family friendly activity*!
Spaces are bare so bring your own furnishings; spaces are outdoors so shade structure (like an E-Z Up) is highly recommended.
For additional information and to register, please see the Club & Org Entry Form.
*corn-hole game, coloring contest, treasure search…we are happy to share ideas!
